WHAT SHOULD I DO IF I ENCOUNTER A PROBLEM WITH MY ENPOINTE SYSTEM?
Please contact our support team for more information if you encounter a problem with your EnPointe system. The issue could be addressed with a software update, or it could be another piece of fencing equipment that has broken and is causing problems – we can help you identify this with help from our support team. Your system may not require any repairs at all.
IN WARRANTY REPAIRS
If there are any defects in materials or assembly, and your system is within one year of purchase and eligible for a warranty claim as per the product’s warranty (check the user manual for more details), contact our support team and we will repair or replace your system free of charge. Please be aware that we do not cover the cost of shipping.
OUT OF WARRANTY REPAIRS
If you have an EnPointe system that is out of warranty, or is within warranty but the breakage is not covered under our warranty terms and conditions, these units can still often be repaired.
FLAT FEE REPAIRS
For very minor or aesthetic repairs, we may suggest ways you can fix this yourself, using basic hardware or armoury tools.
For repairs to the internal hardware or electronics, we’ll charge a flat fee. There are two categories of flat fee repairs:
- $30USD flat fee for minor repairs
- $60USD fee for major repairs that require replacement parts
Our support team can let you know if your system will require a major or minor repair. Please be aware that if your system is damaged beyond repair, you will need to purchase a replacement system. We do not cover the cost of return international shipping to our repair centre in Australia.
REPAIRS TO THE DISPLAY BOX’S GLASS HOUSING
The Display Box’s tempered glass housing is robust and should protect the system from damage. In the event of damage to the glass, provided there is no damage to the internal functioning of the Display Box, we can send you a replacement glass part for your system for $15USD excluding shipping. We then suggest you take the Display Box to a local repair shop to replace the glass. Please do not attempt to replace glass yourself, unless you have repair experience and the appropriate safety equipment for handling broken glass.
Alternatively you can have the glass replaced by EnPointe. Glass replacement is classified as a minor repair.
DISPOSING OF OR DONATING YOUR ENPOINTE SYSTEM
If your EnPointe system is still in working order, but you are upgrading it or retiring it, please consider donating it to a local club who could use it. If your EnPointe system is damaged beyond repair, please be sure to dispose of it thoughtfully at your local recycling centre. The aluminium exteriors can be recycled as scrap metal, or with similar aluminium products. The rest of the case can be recycled with electronic recycling.
Check with your local recycling centre for the most appropriate disposal method.
Alternatively, you could consider donating to the FIE Fencing Future charity, that distributes fencing equipment to clubs in communities that may not have easy access to fencing equipment.
