Your COVID-19 questions answered

We’ve had some customers reach out to us wanting to know more about how EnPointe is managing the impact of Covid-19 on our products and services.

Here are some answers to some common questions, but if you can’t find an answer you’re looking for here, don’t hesitate to contact us, and we’ll get back to you as soon as we can.

 


IS ENPOINTE STILL DELIVERING ORDERS? WHAT ARE THE WAIT TIMES ON DELIVERY?

Yes! We are still in-stock and delivering orders from our warehouse three days a week in accordance with local government restrictions. Our customer service team are working from home, and happy to answer any questions you may have about your order or EnPointe products.

Due to disruptions to our courier’s global distribution network, orders may take a little longer than usual to reach you. Standard orders to the USA have gone from taking 2-3 days to arrive, to 6-7 days to arrive. 

If you would like a more specific time quote for shipping, you can contact us and we can let you know the expected shipping time for your specific address. Otherwise, you can follow your order’s tracking number on your shipping confirmation email.

CAN I USE THE ENPOINTE SYSTEM IN OUTDOOR ENVIRONMENTS? FOR EXAMPLE, ON AN OUTDOOR BASKETBALL COURT OR IN MY DRIVEWAY?

Yes, the EnPointe wireless can be used outside in most environments. We recommend making sure your system has the latest firmware update (V1.3 is available for free download from Update Your System) to ensure the most reliable hit-detection in places that are poor radio environments. 

We encourage fencers to fence in environments that adhere to health and safety guidelines, and broadly speaking, do not recommend fencing in wet weather – both for the safety of fencers, and for longevity of electronics.

CAN I USE ALCOHOL OR DISINFECTANT TO SANITISE ENPOINTE POCKET BOXES BETWEEN BOUTS OR TRAINING SESSIONS?

Yes, you can use alcohol, or alcohol-based disinfectant to sanitise Pocket Boxes or the Relay Box. It will not affect the performance, or tarnish the box. Make sure that no liquid enters the pins at the top of the Pocket Box, or the pins at the side of the Relay Box (where your body cord or connector cords plug in), but otherwise there is no problem wiping the boxes with alcohol or disinfectant.

CAN I PURCHASE EXTRA POCKET BOXES SO FENCERS DON’T HAVE TO SHARE?

Yes, all Pocket Boxes can be touched on to any Relay Box. So if you don’t want fencers sharing Pocket Boxes – or if you’re an individual fencer who would prefer to have their own Pocket Box – you can buy individual Pocket Boxes, with discounts for purchases of five or more boxes.

WHAT ARE THE PROCEDURES FOR DELIVERING PACKAGES FROM ENPOINTE?

Currently our warehouse staff wear gloves and a mask when packing orders. Each device is cleaned with acetone before being packed and sent, and all other stock is handled with gloves. 

Depending on your country, our courier may offer a non-contact delivery option with an authority to leave. To take advantage of this option, you’ll be asked to confirm your identity before delivery, so the courier can drop your package at your door without requiring your signature. You can arrange an authority to leave directly with the courier once your package has shipped.
